New Dimension Vision, Mission & Core Values:

  • Mission - The New Dimension Seventh-day Adventist Church is a multi-cultural Church Community and one of God’s earthly agencies for the salvation of all people. As we prepare for the second coming of Jesus Christ, we are committed to experiencing God’s presence through praise and worship, growing through discipleship, and evangelizing through caring for our community.

  • Vision - New Dimension is a multi-cultural Church Community where every member is a minister who exalt the Savior through praise and worship, grow spiritual by studying the Word of God, and evangelize our community through fellowship.

  • Our Beliefs - Seventh-day Adventists accept the Bible as the only source of our beliefs. We consider our movement to be the result of the Protestant conviction Sola-Scriptura the “Bible Only” as the standard of faith and practice for Christians. Seventh-day Adventists have certain fundamental beliefs. We believe that these beliefs are guided by the dictates of the Holy Spirit, and they comprise the church’s understanding and expression of the teaching of the Holy Scriptures.

The Adventist Church focuses on “Ministry of Healing,” which encompasses catering to the spiritual, physical, mental, and social needs of people around the world.

New Dimension SDA Church History

In the beginning, God created the East Flatbush and Brownsville areas in Brooklyn, NY. And God said I would like to take these communities to a new dimension in 1992. So, the Spirit of God moved upon Pastor Lester Elliot and the Brooklyn Faith Seventh-day Adventist Church to launch a revival. After four weeks of intensive labor, many people gave their hearts to Jesus, and The New Dimension Seventh-day Adventist believers were born.

For the next two years, Pastor Lester Elliott served as the senior pastor for this new group of excited believers in God. He was assisted by pastors Horatio Brady and Earl Walcott, two leaders who distinguished themselves as anointed preachers of righteousness. The New Dimension Seventh-day Adventist believers were formally organized in 1993 by the Northeastern Conference of 7th Day Adventists as the New Dimension Seventh-day Adventist Mission. Josephine Allison, Robert Brown, Egbert Cox, Irving Daniel, and Marcia Daniel comprised the nucleus of said Mission. In the fall of 1993, the New Dimension Seventh-day Adventist Mission was blessed with a new senior pastor, Dr. Sherwin Jack. Under Pastor Jack's leadership and the generous support from our Mother Church, Brooklyn faith, the New Dimension Seventh-day Adventist Mission, continued to grow numerically and spiritually.

In the fall of 1994, Pastor Fitzroy Jackson was assigned by the Northeastern Conference of Seventh-day Adventist to assist Pastor Jack in providing intimate pastoral care to the New Dimension Seventh-day Adventist Mission. Pastor Fitzroy Jackson would serve the mission until the summer of 1996. During Pastor Fitzroy Jackson's tenure, New Dimension held its first evangelistic crusade, and many souls were added to the Kingdom of God.

With the presence of strong local leadership and the significant increase in membership of the New Dimension Mission, the Brooklyn Faith Seventh-day Adventist Church, in consult with the membership of the Mission, recommended at a duly called church board meeting on February 11, 1996, that the Mission be organized into a church. On April 5, 1997, the New Dimension Seventh-day Adventist Mission became New Dimension Seventh-day Adventist Church.

In January 1998, the New Dimension Seventh-day Adventist Church assumed new pastoral leadership in the person of Valtricts Binns. Pastor Binns' tenure was a brief nine months, and in October 1998, Pastor Franklin Jackson began his tenure as the pastor of the church. Under his leadership, the church entered into an agreement to rent the building located at 1062 Winthrop Street, Brooklyn, New York 11212, with the intent to purchase, which became our new church home. Pastor Franklin Jackson's tenure ended in 2003.

Upon his departure Pastor Andrew Philbert was assigned to the pastorate of the church. Pastor Philbert's tenure, though brief, was spiritually impactful. The church engaged in two evangelistic efforts that yielded additional souls for God.

In the winter of 2004, we were blessed to have Pastor Sednak Yanson as our new pastor. During his tenure as pastor, we were able to purchase the building located at 1062 Winthrop St. and immediately began transforming the building one square foot at a time. Pastor Yankson's tenure ended in the spring of 2009.

On June 16, 2009, Ferron Fitzroy Francis was installed as our new pastor. Pastor Francis was instrumental in helping the church to reorganize its priorities and refocus its attention on the trademark. It had come to be known as an evangelistic center. Under Pastor Francis's leadership, the renovation of the church building once again went into high gear. In the summer of 2010, the long-awaited and much-needed facelift of the church was completed without incurring any debt to the church. Pastor Francis's tenure ended on October 27, 2012.

On January 5, 2013, Pastor Phillip Wesley Jr. was installed as the new pastor of the New Dimension Seventh-day Adventist church. His love for music enhanced and improved the music ministry of the church and served to enhance the worship experience of the church, especially the youths of the church.

On February 4, 2017, we were pleased to welcome Pastor Donnett Blake as our new pastor. Pastor Blake, who was once the AY leader of the New Dimension Seventh-day Adventist church, brought to the church family an improved sense of spirituality. Under her leadership, the church thrived and grew spiritually and numerically. On June 18, 2022, Pastor Blake left New Dimension church to take up leadership in the Northeastern Conference as the Women's Ministry Director.

On July 9, 2022, Pastor Orville Bulgin and his family were welcomed into the New Dimension Seventh-day Adventist family. Once again, God had adequately provided for the needs of His children at New Dimension. We have come this far by faith, leaning on God's everlasting arms. We are determined by God's grace to serve him faithfully until he returns. It is our greatest desire to hear those famous words from the lips of our God. "Well done, thou good and faithful servant, enter into the joy of thy Lord."
